'GENESIS' (Chapter-2)

In this chapter we will come to know that how God created 'Adam and Eve(the woman)' , and re-setup-ed the earth according to their need and survival. It is written in 25 verse numbers. So lets start the topic with a moral at the end.

God rested on the seventh day and blessed it. The earthly paradise, in which God placed man. He commanded him not to eat of the tree of knowledge. And formed a woman of his rib.

  1. So the heaven and the earth were finished, and all the contents of them.
  2. And after the continuous work of 6 days, God ended his work and rested on seventh day.
  3. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it : because in it he had rested from all his work which he had created.
  4. These are the age of the heaven and the earth, when they were created by God.
  5. Now no plants had yet sprung up in the earth, and no herb had yet appeared : for the Lord God had not rained upon the earth ; and there was nobody living on the ground.
  6. But a spring came up from the earth and watered the whole surface of the ground.
  7. And the Lord God formed man from mud and breathed into his face the breath of life ; the man became a living soul and God named him 'Adam'.
  8. And the Lord God had planted a paradise of pleasure from the beginning : wherein he placed Adam.
  9. Then the Lord God grew all kind of trees out of the ground, fair in look and pleasant to eat. In middle of the paradise there were tree of life and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
  10. And a river went out of the place of pleasure to water paradise, from there it was separated into four heads.
  11. The name of the first is the Pishon, which flows through the entire land of Havilah, where there is god.
  12. And the gold of that land is very good : there is found bdellium, and the onyx stone.
  13. The name of the second river is Gehon : which flows through the entire land of Ethiopia.
  14. And the name of the third river is Tigris : it runs along by the Assyrians. And the fourth river is Euphrates.
  15. Then the Lord God took Adam, and put him into the paradise of pleasure, to dress it, and to keep it.
  16. And the Lord god commanded Adam, "You are free to eat from any tree in the paradise".
  17. but you must not from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will evidently die.
  18. And the Lord God said : "It is not good for man to be alone ; he needs a companion for help".
  19. Now the Lord God had formed out of the ground all the wild animals and all the birds in the sky, brought them to Adam so that he could name them, and whatever he named all those creatures, that was its name.
  20. So Adam called all the beasts by their name , and all the birds in the sky and even all the cattle of the field, but for Adam no suitable helper was found.
  21. Then the Lord God cast a deep sleep upon Adam : and when he was fast asleep, God took one of his ribs, and filled it up with flesh.
  22. And the Lord God built the rib which he took from Adam into a Woman : and brought her to Adam.
  23. Adam said : "This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh ; she shall be called woman, because she was taken out of man".
  24. That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united with his wife, and they become one flesh.
  25. And Adam and the Woman both were naked, and were not ashamed.

Moral : Here God shows a chain of life where everyone gets connected , doesn't matter if its an animal or human or bird. So its a direct example of Love and Equality. We should love everyone ,don't hurt anyone or never break the chain made by God.
